New York City Recap

Here are a few more pictures from Colby's first NYC trip. He enjoyed seeing his Aunt Shea, visiting Central Park and terrorizing the hotel room. Really he enjoys himself most of the time, interrupted by some short bursts of frustration (usually involving food). Colby traveled better than expected, and we now know he can nap some in the car under the right conditions. We'll need to work out the nap for shorter trips, but he was impressive.

Colby was very interested in the turtles and fish and the "Turtle Pond" in Central Park.

One of the many playgrounds in Central Park had these nice hippo statues to play on.

Colby loved the sprinklers, and he is learning new expressions. Very deliberate head shakes for yes, nose pulls, shoulder shrugs and tons of laughs! His walking and running is becoming more stable, and he's learning new tricks to get around and over obstacles, although his legs are showing some wear since he's rough!

A nice morning pose in Times Square. Just a few hours earlier you could barely walk through this place. Its busy enough that they permanently blocked off the middle of the square to traffic.

Colby's first popsicle in Central Park - it was bizarrely cold and stuck to our skin for a few minutes.
