We dressed Colby up for his first 2 Halloweens, but when he was two he decided he didn't want to dress up or trick or treat. I suspect its either because he saw scary costumes, or because he's a bit scared of the dark. We didn't push him, and he decided on his own this year that he would be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle. He must have learned about these characters at school (as he's never watched a minute of the show) and he and his mother found a costume that wasn't too involved for him. It was actually a hooded sweatshirt, where you could put the hood down over your eyes.
At his school's "Trunk or Treat" event at our Ninja Turtle themed car. This is the only photo I can find of him with his hood up.
This marked his first ever trick or treat. He was a bit nervous, and wouldn't put his hood up, but he did it!
