Colby really has not progressed much in his crawling skills since he first started his backwards crawling months ago. In the past week he has moved forward a few times, but just a few inches and after a lot of strain and effort - its not elegant or that productive yet.
However, he is more mobile through other means. He rolls like a bandit now with ease. By rolling he is able to change rooms and usually get where he wants to go. Also, he really enjoys standing and is good at it. Like when he first began sitting he has the strength to stand, but lacks some of the balance. Our ottomans are perfect for Colby to hold onto while he practices. Other times Moïra and I take turns holding him and encouraging him to walk towards the other. He hasn't shown any signs of actually taking a step, but he definitely likes being upright.
