Mother & Son's Big Post

Last night Colby slept in his crib for the first time. It wasn't a quiet, peaceful sleep and was interrupted by 3 nighttime feedings (as opposed to the fairly normal 1). Mom and Dad slept on the floor near him on an air mattress to make sure the night went well for him. This will be some part of our transition, as will the night vision baby video monitor.

Colby continues to grow out of things. He's on his third diaper size, the bumpers have come our of the stroller and swing, and the car seat is now on its medium setting.

Moira doesn't usually let me take pictures with her in it, but she let her guard down tonight. She's a beautiful momma!

Moira got Colby "playing" with the monkeys on his monkey chari (named MonkE and MonkF). She added some colored rings and they really got Colby's attention.... or something got his attention anyway. This went on for quite a while actually - and Moira and I ate dinner together for the first time in a long while.

Just messing around....

We have added "Super Baby" to our bag of tricks. This calms him down sometimes when nothing else will. He concentrates intently, cheeks hang down and stretches his legs straight back.
