| Colby just returned from another Disney visit. This time he was quite aware in advance, and asked for a long time if he "could go tomorrow". So the morning we woke him up at 4:45 and told him it was the day, he quickly jumped up and was ready! He is currently 40.5" tall, and thus just tall enough to ride on several key rides (and repeatedly bonk his head on their silly measuring stick). It was Colby's own idea to go on big rides like Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, neither of which his parents were sure he was ready for… but he loved them and wanted to ride them repeatedly! He often wanted to ride with his cousin Collin and enjoyed his time with Mommy's family. The flip side of Colby's anticipation was his sadness that it was over and realization that it would be a while before any return. This clear sense of time from him is pretty new and interesting. |
