Cardboard Thomas

Our new dining chairs arrived in boxes. So of course we made a cardboard Thomas, trailered it to King Pine and rode it down the ski hill.

Colby's standard King Pine lunch was only missing his "surf cookies" (so named because he first saw them at a surf shop).

The best part of the day was Colby's excitement after Thomas' run!

He was tired at the end of the day, as evidenced by the very rare asleep-in-the-car picture. He even slept on Momma for 2 hours once we got home.

Thomas was supposed to go and live at King Pine (i.e., not come back to the house). That was one of the silver linings of all this effort - that our cardboard would go away. However, a tired Colby emphatically insisted Thomas come home. Then at 10 pm that night Colby explained how it was a bad idea to bring cardboard Thomas home because we didn't have enough cardboard to make all the other engines too!
