Colby floored me tonight as I was helping him into his jammies. As previously mentioned on this blog, Colby is a HUGE fan of the movie Blue Mountain Mystery (featuring Thomas the Train and his narrow gauge friends). Colby has the BMM book as well which he has read with Jesse about a dozen times over the last month or two. Tonight, Colby started talking about his trains and then all of a sudden, Jesse came through the door and we realized Colby was reciting the opening paragraph EXACTLY from the book. He then went on to do the same with other parts of the book. I am one amazed parent (although, admittedly...completely biased!)
Here is the paragraph that he recited verbatim from memory last night....
....and here is his response to our request to recite it again today. His attention was elsewhere here and he has a cold - so while it may be hard to tell, he is again reciting most of this passage.
