Sitting Up

Last weekend Colby started sitting up on his own. At first it seemed accidental, and maybe it was, but he figured out he could do it and now has access to more of his world. He's expanded his communications to include pointing. Sometimes he points when he wants something, but other times its less clear what he's pointing at.

We got a door closer device for the basement steps because Colby's father can't be trusted to keep that door closed. Otherwise we're pretty well baby proofed for now. Unfortunately the cats have figured out how to get around the baby gates and have snuck into Colby's room a few times, so we've had to break out some of our cat deterrent technologies.
